This is one of those places I could see ending up on Diners, Drive in's, and Dives! It a hole in the wall joint which found success quite some time ago and id chugging at full speed. The building is tiny, having maybe a dozen tables that seat four each though crowded. But food, the service and the atmosphere are exceptional. We were here on vacation for a week and ate here twice. They have a sauce which is incredible, and they sell it by the jar even. My first meal there was this, a huge bowl of it with shrimp and rice. I still have dreams about it. The second time I had a shrimp basket, with fries and puppies. It was also excellent. The service is very outgoing and friendly, adding to the experience. This is defiantly one of those special places you can not pass up.

Great place to go and get a quick bite. I, along with the rest of my party, all had the fried grouper fish tacos. They were tasty and I wouldn't hesitate to get them again, but they were not amazing by any means. If you're in Mexico Beach, definitely check the place out!

Staying in Port St. Joe for a couple days the family and I decided to try this place after reading some reviews (and craving some seafood). This place does not disappoint,my son had the 3 combo meal with the fish, shrimp, and scallops and it was absolutely delicious. The scallops are small but very tasty and tasted really fresh. My wife wanted the grouper but wasn't available so had the fresh catch of the day that I never heard of and it was excellent. We also all shared the killer bowl, yummy. And I was torn between the fish tacos and the shrimp so decided to go with the shrimp po boy oh my goodness,oh my goodness. It was superb,I don't even like tartar sauce but loved there's. And couldn't leave without trying the key-lime pie and yes that is excellent as well. If you get the chance check this place out you will not be disappointed. ***TAKE NOTE CASH ONLY, AND ODD HOURS***

Terrible - Terrible - Terrible As soon as we walked in the "server" looked over at us and told us that we needed to hurry up and order 'cause they closed in 30 min. We left and will not be back

Ok, I really hate to be one of the few negative comments but I was disappointed in this place. We waited 45 minutes and then learned they were closing in 20 minutes after we sat down. They closed at 8:00 and we felt rushed. There was one disgruntled waitress who was rude and short. She ask how we were doing and didn't wait for a response. She walked away to go drink a beer. The grilled food was much better than the fried. The greased seemed old. The key lime pie was tangy. I ended up getting it to go because they waitress was sweeping all around us. I usually find good in everybody but one bad seed made our dining experience negative. This is unfortunate because the outside wait time was pleasant. We expected a better time inside.

Allow me to begin by saying that this is THE ONLY place that I ever WANT to eat at when in Mexico Beach. Having lived in the area on and off for five years, it is the only restaurant on the strip that is consistently good...but not just good, it's AWESOME! All of my friends complain that it's expensive, but then I remind then of the fact that they're going to pay just as much (if not more) for an unpleasant meal with mediocre service anywhere else in MB. Kim, the guys, and the staff have always been great to my coworkers and I, and I have NEVER had an unpleasant experience at Killer. The grilled tuna tacos are their trademark item. The ingredients are always fresh, the combination of their in-house sauce and a good squeeze of the provided lime wedge will light up your tastebuds with happiness...but let's not forget the best ingredient: the grilled tuna. They don't skimp on the ingredients here! The tortilla comes out with a good helping of lettuce, tomato, cheese, house sauce, and PERFECTLY GRILLED TUNA! As for the side items, I'm not one for 'slaw, but the hush puppies and fries are (again) cooked to perfection...crisp on the outside, not dried out or squishy on the inside, and freshly-hot out of the frier. Though I will have assuredly reached satiety by the end of the meal, I am always left wanting more BECAUSE IT'S SOOOOO GOOOOOOD! So for under $13, you get a drink, side, and two tacos...and you also get happy tastebuds and a great eating experience! (Just keep in mind that it's CASH ONLY, and there's an ATM right next door.)

In the world of fish tacos, Killer Seafood is sort of a big deal. I've eaten all varieties of these delicious little pockets of flavorful delight, and I honestly can not remember enjoying one more than the one I ate 3 minutes ago. The tortilla was surprisingly high quality, and the grilled tuna was UNGH (onomatopoeia) good. Please please please cover and smother whatever you order in their house made Hot Sauce, as it's not actually hot but rather garlic-ish and vinegar-ish and contributes on so many levels to your dining experience. Whatever is your spirituality, you'll be thanking your personal version of God or the devil for such a wonderful, not quite forbidden, piece of passionate gustatory satisfaction. And hey, the beer is cold too.

We were treated very poorly here and ended up walking out after two hours of waiting and the hostess accidentally giving away our table twice. This place has rude employees, bad service, cash only, long waits, and is not for groups at all. We are a family of seven and they acted like it was a HUGE inconvenience for us to be there. Go down the road to Toucans and have some real service and family time. We won't be back; that's for sure.

This place is AWESOME!!!! We went there after seeing all of the great reviews on here & we were not disappointed! The first night I shared a soft-shell crab & crab cake basket with my son..... BEST soft shell crab I have EVER had!!! We went back for lunch the following day & I got the Tacos with cole slaw on them...... OMG Can you say Heaven? BEST fish tacos I have EVER had (& I'm pretty picky!) Everyone in our party was happy with their food every time!!!! Our family just purchased property in the area & we are already planning to eat there daily on our future visits! :) My daughter wanted me to also add she was glad to see the employees are all UGA fans there as well! LOL *****JUST REMEMBER CASH ONLY************

Not sure if there is a better restaurant at Mexico Beach. The first thing you need to know is that the style of service is very similar to The Sea Shack at Hilton Head, except that there is table service, after you've ordered from the counter. Depending on what time you get there, could be a wait of 30-45 minutes just to get in to order. No room to wait inside, so don't plan to go on a rainy day/evening. Once inside, strongly consider the grouper tacos, they're fantastic. The "basket" items come with your choice of 2 of the 3: fries, hush puppies, or slaw. I don't eat slaw but can tell you that the fries and puppies are both great. The portions are good, you won't walk away hungry. My second visit here I got the fresh catch of the day, which happened to be grouper (fried). It was good. They also sell some really cool t-shirts which 3 of my kids wanted one and got before we left. One of my kids got the fried scallops which were very tasty. My youngest two split the grilled shrimp basket and that was also very good. They have kids menu items, but none with seafood, so I splurged and let the kids all get adult seafood baskets or fish tacos. Also, very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get.

Delicious, the killer sauce is to die for. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. Killer bread bowl, fish tacos and shrimp salad. Highly recommended. Service was friendly and good also.

For all those who 'kill' this place for being a dive, shame on you. If you want upscale, go to Destin! No, I didn't think the fish tacos were 'killer', but they were mighty good. But the seafood 'soup', divine. We have visited the area 4 times in 6 years, and just found Killer Seafood. Trust me, if I ever go back someplace, it's very good. And we will go back!

We had the fresh catch and the scallops and shrimp in the killer seafood sauce. It was all good. And for all you Dexter fans, this place has the perfect key lime pie. Perfect.

Our party of four arrived around 7:30 on a Saturday night and added our names to the list for a 30 minute wait, grabbed a beer and hung out out front. Totally loved the music that was playing! We were given a menu to peruse ahead of time and based off the reviews here, two of us did the fish tacos. Another friend had the shrimp pasta-and we'd all highly recommend them!. The hot sauce was fantastic. Ordered the jalapeño poppers and I agree they were pretty cheesy, but still good. Food was hot, waitstaff was so friendly and checked on us a lot. I would definitely recommend this place and will go back the next time I'm out this way.

We came here for lunch on a Saturday after spending a few hours on the beach. It wasn't crowded, though it was busy, and the service was good. The fish tacos were pretty good--not the best but not the worst. They're small and you only get two and they cost $9.99, which I thought was a bit much for so little food. The scallops ($11.99) were tasty and came with what I envision as the perfect beach fries--thick cut, slightly crispy on the outside but mushy on the inside. All the sauces at the restaraunt appear to be homemade--the tartar sauce was delicious, the cocktail sauce not too overpowering, and a house-made hot sauce that wasn't so much hot as it was flavorful. It went great with the fried oysters. One important thing to note--it is cash only!

  • Mark F.

Anyone who thinks the fish tacos at Killer are worthy of serious consideration is probably just from Florida, the state with the worst tex-mex and baja food in the country. These grouper tacos are just some plain-jane fried grouper with blah toppings and really cheap cheddar shreds that come close to being as distasteful as American cheese. The tortilla is NOT fresh. Once you've been to a classy joint that presses out their tortilla dough on the stone right in front of you, you'll know the difference. The jalapeno poppers were a disaster, overstuffed with that same gross orange cheese, and over-fried. The hush puppies were likewise over-fried, and devoid of almost anything other than low quality cornmeal. The grouper sandwich was served on limp bread, and needed loads of tartar and hot sauce to give it any flavor. The fries were the only decent item we ordered, but even these were just bulk packaged fries, nothing special. The food was of a low enough quality that I was worried it could make me sick (fortunately it didn't). There are some surprisingly great restaurants on the coast in this area, this is definitely not one of them.

A local dive for sure. But like them all, if it wasn't good it wouldn't still be there. I had the Killer Fish Tacos and they were great. Only one recommendation: ask them to go light on the shredded cheddar. The cheese was a bit overpowering of an otherwise great fish taco. Maybe it was my taste-buds that day? Who knows. But when I go back, and I will be going back, I will probably ask them to go light on the cheddar or serve it on the side. Oh yeah, and they do not take credit cards so bring a couple of greenbacks.

  • Sue K.

The food was good, the fish tacos were good, although the cheese was a bit overpowering to the grilled tuna; but those were possibly the best hush-puppies I've had in years. There were lots of fish tacos ordered at my table, except sis, since she doesn't "do" seafood, but she had good things to say about the hamburger and fries, her teen son did a fine job of polishing a combo basket with shrimp, fries and hush-puppies - which is a good indication that he liked the food. I'll be back next time I am in the area...with cash - since they don't do credit or debit cards.

Easily the best restaurant in Mexico Beach. Place has a cool vibe with great service. You order at the register, but employees are constantly walking around if you need anything to go with your meal.

Love Killer Seafood! We go at least 2 or 3 times when we're here for vacation. All the food is great but the fish tacos, fried fish and grilled shrimp are family favs!

We showed up at 6PM and were lucky to get a table right away. The place was already getting full. The eating area is very small and with the piped in music, it gets pretty loud. Our table had the grilled shrimp basket, shrimp po boy, and two orders of Killer Fish Tacos. The shrimp dinners were pretty good (although it's pretty hard to mess those up). The Fish Tacos were lousy. Very Bland. I did not like the Killer Sauce at all, so had to pour shrimp cocktail sauce on my tacos to give them some taste. Our waitress was miffed when I told her that one of my tacos was covered in cheese when I had requested no cheese. My recommendation - go to Toucan's instead; only 100 yards away with nicer interior, better scenery, better food and they take plastic. We won't be back.

Fish tacos were as great as reported (go easy on the cheese, though). The Killer Bowl (oysters, scallops, or shrimp) is amazing - the sauce is drool-worthy. Friendly owners and staff. So glad this place exists.

Solid fish tacos. Both the tuna & grouper options. My grouper was caught either that morning or evening before. Also, do try the hush puppies and jalapeño poppers.

  • Cailen B.

There is a very good reason why Coastal Living recommended the fish tacos at Killer Seafood; they are awesome! They are not over priced and the tuna was cooked perfectly! Killer Seafood is a must if you are stopping into the Mexico Beach area. The smoked seafood dip was great too; worth the add on. Love the wit on the menu for the "litter" of hush puppies but didn't enjoy the actual hush puppies that much. The place closes down from 2-5 so you'll have to plan well for your lazy beach day lunches.

Loved this place and found it on Yelp! The tacos and their special sauce were outstanding and the atmosphere fun. The owners were friendly and the service was great. Exceptional key lime pie for dessert and it was amazing, you have to try it! Only disappointment was they ran out the special early. I would of ate more! Check their hours before you go, we tried to eat linner and it was too early.

Fan-freakin-tastic! This was my 2nd time at KS and the first time having the dish tacos. Best I've had since leaving SoCal 13 yrs ago. Mister enjoyed the Killer Shrimp. We're here on a 6 day trip but will go back before we head home.

Stopped in for lunch while house hunting in Mexico beach. The first thing I noticed was the music. They were playing a song that is in steady rotation on my iPod but I don't know any other humans who know of the band much less that particular song. I asked and they said they were playing satellite radio because you can't get music like that on the radio here. Huh. I'll take it as a good omen. The other yelp reviews and the lady who helped me recommended the fish tacos. Against my better judgment I ordered them. Though I think fish tacos sound interesting I have been unimpressed by them the few times i have had them in other parts of the country. But, what's life for if not to learn the same lessons over and over? This turned out to be a new lesson though. That lesson is that THESE FREAKING FISH TACOS ARE AWESOME! Even if you don't think you like fish tacos, you've got to try them. The sad part is I may never try anything else there because I'll always get those fish tacos. BOOOOYAAA!!!!

been here for lunch a few times with people from my work... Pretty good grilled tuna fish tacos, although I would like it if they had used more seasoning.. I like spicy food, and thus was pouring huge amounts of their hot sauce on my fish tacos so that they would be a more culinarily interesting experience.. Oh, they make their own hot sauce. It is not very hot, but it was otherwise pretty good, seemed to have a good blend of seasonings, just a bit weak for me.. The tuna used tasted good, just would prefer it if there was some more chile powder involved in the preparation process. I have had fish tacos several times on the Mexican coast in the states of Oaxaca and Sonora, so clearly there they are different (much better) and my expectations might be unreasonable.. You can get your fish tacos on soft corn or flour tortillas.. They come with a side of shredded cabbage or french fries. The music they play here is quite bizarre , some XM radio station I assume, but there is a mix of obscure alternative rock bands with weird country songs with some 90s alternative rock hits and some other random stuff.. The hours are a little unpredictable during the slow (winter) season, so you might want to call ahead if you are here not during tourist season.. This place is somewhat of a biker hangout, but all kinds of people go here, because by Mexico Beach standards it is pretty good.. This is an order and pay at the counter place, CASH ONLY !!!! your food will be brought to your table after you order.. Across the street from the Gulf of Mexico, so there is sort of kind of a view of the Gulf, through the carport of the apartments across the way. By the way, the key lime pie is wonderful!!!! It is $4 for a slice, but you really need to try it at least once!!!! They get an extra star because the key lime pie is so fantastic..

We drove in to Mexico Beach looking for good seafood and we found it! Killer Seafood has a laid back feel to it. We ordered fish tacos, a shrimp basket, and for the little one a cheeseburger. I can honestly say that the fish tacos were the best we ever had. The shrimp was fresh and good too. Even the hush puppies were really good. Normally hush puppies are really "heavy". These were light and had some flavor- jalapeno pepper, I think. It had more flavor than kick, if that makes sense. The fish tacos looked like regular fish tacos, but the fish were marinated in something amazing, and the sauce was awesome too. Great food. Laid back vibe- shorts and t-shirt kinda place. Go to Killer Seafood!

  • Faiyaz H.

Great - Un-healthy Seafood - Worth It :) We were in the area because we were staying at a beach house for a week. First of all, this place does not accept credit cards - cash only. There is a convenience store close by if you need to get cash. Super casual place, the service was great, the food was awesome. Only knock on this place, almost everything is fried.

    (4)
  • Marlin M.

The food here is fantastic. I had the killer tacos with grilled tuna and they were top notch. Their killer hot sauce on the table goes well with the tacos! My only complaint: they're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so we only got to go there once during our trip.

When traveling to different places and trying different restaurants, I appreciate a wait staff that works with you in order to get you fed. We got that here. We had a party of eight people, and the wait would have been quite a while (40 - 60 minutes by his estimation) but the guy at the door taking parties let us sit outside on the large picnic table. Evidently a lot of people refuse this option, but he let us get seated in less than 30 minutes. It was getting to be sunset and with the softening light and ocean breeze set the stage for a wonderful meal. Soft shelled crabs for one kid, fish tacos for my wfe, and I got the three combo of grilled shrimp, bay scallops and catch of the day fish. There were duplicates across the board, but all eight (including the pickiest "I only eat chicken" kid) loved their food. Killer lives up to its name. Everything was perfect and delicious! If you come to Mexico Beach you simply have to eat here!

On our first visit to Mexico beach we used yelp to help with recommendations. This is definitely a place for locals. The menu is very basic for seafood restaurants. You have to order at the counter and then find your seat. They will bring your food to you. Good food and good prices. If you are looking for beach atmosphere, this is not the place for you. They do not take credit cards so a little of ore planning may be necessary. Entrees are any where from 12.00 to 17.00. The staff is friendly and attentive. This is a can't miss in Mexico beach.

  • Tessa M.

The food is absolutely fabulous!!! We had calamari, soft shell crab po boy and the scallop bread bowl. Eveything had great flavor. Just the right amount of spice to offer a little heat but not too much. The owner and staff are very polite and don't let your glass get empty. I highly recommend you plan to stop in and have lunch or dinner while here in Mexico beach.

  • KG B.

Food here is always wonderful - fresh, flavorful seafood. I love the hot sauce on the table. Just wish they would offer more grilled items. Staff can get stressed at times, but get things done. This year, the waits were longer than ever, even on an Wednesday evening. I do like the fact that when they are busy, they have started taking the orders outside. That means that once your table is ready, you can go in and sit down and they begin working on your order.

  • Amy S.

Grilled shrimp were good. I did not know that when ordering fried scallops they would be the small bay scallops that have a fishy taste. Their killer sauce was like a tobacco horseradish or sthing. Overall meh..there is better food

  • Betsy K.

We went here based on the reviews and local recommendations. The fried food was good. The grilled food was soggy and greasy. The hushpuppies were burned. Had to flag down a busboy twice to ask for our server for more drinks.

  • Kenneth R.

CASH ONLY!!!!!! Excellent seafood. I had the fresh caught grouper special and my wife had the grouper fish tacos. My fish was some of the best grouper I've had, thick portion, not over breaded, and obviously freshly caught. The tacos were the same. The fries and hushpuppies were ok, and completely overshadowed by the grouper. The hot sauce on the table was the biggest surprise -- obviously home made, not very hot, with a definite horseradish taste. So good we bought a bottle to take home. Prices are what I would consider normal for a beach restaurant : $15 for the grouper, hushpuppies and fries. $10 for two fish tacos. While the portions seemed small for the price at first, I was stuffed by meal's end and the I don't mind paying for excellent food, which this was. Remember, cash only.

Actually rating the management instead of food since we were told they didn't want our business since they already had a wait. How does a restaurant at the beach, during the summer, close before it even gets dark. Will not be back.

  • Greg S.

Nice people. Nice little place. Good service. Went for lunch. Food was ehh. Bland. Fish tacos were highly recommended but, to be honest, they were just OK. Not a lot of taste. I had the flounder po boy and it was solid. I'd give it a B-.

    (3)
  • Susan C.

Had an excellent lunch here! The fish tacos were a favorite at the table. I had the fried grouper basket. I don't eat much fried food, but this just sounded good. It was excellent! Not too greasy, and great tasting fish. The hush puppies were my favorite, some of the best I've had. Very fluffy and tender.

  • Tyler B.

Awesome, just awesome. Food is incredible. The owner had literally caught my fish that morning. As fresh as possible unless you filet and grill on your own boat. Staff super friendly and down to earth; drinks were available immediately. Only complaint would be cash only payment but, who cares it's so cheap I could buy a meal with loose change. Will eat here again tonight, and every time we come back to the area. Only REAL complaint is the owner is a Geaorgia fan; Go Vols!

Great food and service. The fish tacos were incredible . My first time to eat there . Don't forget to bring cash. Reasonably priced.

Fun place with super nice wait staff. Great atmosphere for a hole in the wall seafood place. I generally like grilled seafood. But this place might have the best lightly breaded and fried seafood I've had. You must try the Soft shell crabs. Fish tacos are good, but again I prefer grilled. You also can't miss with the key lime pie!!

I go to killer seafood every year when I stay in Mexico beach and I'm never disappointed! Excellent food and great price. The fried shrimp my personal favorite!!

  • Chad C.

Not much more to say than awesome! We had the 2 and 4 combo fried seafood platters, everything was mmmmmm. They have an amazingly light batter that is a perfect amount of crispy with out the greasy. Top it off with a few land shark largers and call it a perfect mothers days meal!

Food and service was fabulous! Grilled shrimp was to die for. It is small but come early and enjoy. The weight goes quick.

This was a great experience for someone being from the Midwest. I love seafood and their menu definitely accommodated my hunger for it. The atmosphere was really nice. The seating is limited so make sure you allow yourself some wait time.

  • Ty H.

I don't see what all the fuss is about the killer sauce, to me it was average at best. I would probably go back again and try something else just because of the limited places to eat here but the staff seemed very unfriendly like others have said before. I wouldn't make a special trip just to eat there.

I'm using my first Yelp review on Killer Seafood, and here's why: About two years ago, I came down to Mexico Beach with my family on vacation. My parents kept raving about the fish tacos at Killer Seafood. My mom, who said she would never order a fish taco ordinarily, said she decided to try them when she walked into the restaurant and saw every other table eating them. Since then, my parents were hooked. So, we walked down to the little restaurant, waited in line for about 15 minutes and ordered the tacos. They came out, I took a bite, and I've been dreaming of them ever since. The tuna was seared and melt in your mouth and the toppings and sauce were delicious. Fast forward to last night. I've been in Mexico Beach vacationing for a week now and dying to get my hands (and mouth and taste buds..) on those tacos. Would they be even half as good as I remembered? My boyfriend and I walked over in our clothes we'd been in at the beach all day (this place is no frills, for sure) and ordered the tacos with fries, slaw and a basket of hush puppies. Like many reviewers have described, you order at the counter, pay with cash only and receive a number. It didn't take long for our food to come out and once it did, I took that first anticipated bite.. HOLY JESUS CHRIST ON A SUNDAY these fish tacos are where it's at, people. They were even better than I remembered--I mean, how often does that happen in real life and not in your dreams?? I've seen a lot of reviewers on here say the staff is rude or in a rush. It's true that the staff isn't gonna chat you up about sea stories at the register but so what? Order your food, sit down, enjoy a beer and wait for heaven on a plate in the form of fish tacos to make its way over to your table. I doubt the staff at Killer Seafood reads these reviews, but if they do, keep it up. Your food is out of this world and when I go to out to eat, that's what counts. Oh, bonus points for playing The Smiths, Talk Talk and Boy George while we were eating. Somehow, it just made the whole experience complete.

Best fish tacos in Bay County (including homemade hot sauce)! Good beer. Casual, comfortable ambiance. Reputable family-owned business -- a favorite of the locals. Cash only though! There is an ATM at Gulf Foods next-door.

    (4)
  • Catherine K.

Eh. Don't go here looking for customer service. Be prepared to order quickly....or you'll be asked to sit down. Cash only! The food was good. I enjoyed a shrimp po-boy! The waitress might have been having a bad day....but just didn't seem like she wanted to be there. The guy taking the orders was more interested in his phone than greeting customers. But, it's a great place for Mexico Beach! Glad they are here!

  • James L.

Very good food and friendly staff. A slight downgrade for ambience. Deserts are made on sight fresh daily.

I love Killer Seafood!! Get there early because the wait can be long but it is well worth it!! I have been there twice in two years and it's been great both time. Our party of 5 each time loved their meals(we all ordered something different). They do have chicken for those who do not eat seafood. Atmosphere is great. During our wait we are able to get beers and sit either outside or inside. If I get the chance to go to Mexico beach again I will definitely go there!

  • Billy P.

I have been coming here for over 10 years with my family and we all love it! Good fresh seafood done right. Nothing fancy. Fish tacos are always good, seafood bowls are a good bet. Small place with about ten small tables. It gets busy quickly so be prepared to wait at peak times. Back your truck up to the front door, sit on your tailgate, listen to some Marley, and enjoy a beer from the ice chest out front while you wait. Good isn't always fast, and fast isn't always good. CASH ONLY! This is a laid back little beach town, slow down and enjoy. Not recommended for whiners or sissies. As far as the staff being rude and/or unfriendly, I haven't seen it. Could it possibly be some of the fussy little tourists being rude to begin with? Probably. Don't show up near closing time and expect everyone to stay late for YOU. If you need expensive/upscale, and to be pampered and petted, go to another beach please.

Very good fish tacos and conch fritters. The calamari tacos were not good though-I just think it's hard to get good calamari down here. The service was great-people are friendly and the fish tacos were fantastic. Will definitely be back.

Do NOT be upset when you arrive and there is a line. Just grab a beer and hang out with the rest of the folks waiting for some great food. Just be sure to bring cash. Cause Killer doesn't take American Express. Or any other plastic. Try a killer bread bowl with shrimp simmered in the Killer sauce. Or grab a pair of fish tacos. You can't go wrong here !!

We had a farewell luncheon here for one of our airmen and our group was large for this rather small place. No problems! The service was great, and everyone was served quickly. A lesson learned though, we were crowded because there were 15 in our group. Next time we need to keep the group smaller

A fantastic place with a great local vibe. The staff are very friendly and take pride in their food. We sat at the bar and talked to the staff. We listened to the guy at the door who greets you and only allows people in based on the size. Plan to wait if you get here after 6p. We had the catch of the day (grouper) tacos on corn tortillas with cole slaw as well as the tuna tacos with lettuce and tomato. Our sides were French fries and hush puppies. This is a low key place that has minimal seating with great good. A must stop. Cash only.

on our first attempt to eat here we were turned away because they were closing in 15 min. on our second attempt the waitress was so rude i almost walked out. i had the grouper (that only comes fried) with the cole slaw and fries. it was equivalent to eating a meal at Captain Ds or Long John Silvers. we then patiently waited for our check when another woman comes over and rudely tells us that we had to go to the register. i seriously have no idea how this place is in business other than the fact that there aren't a lot of choices in MB

The staff here could not be more rude.... except for Hal who helped us get a great table. The servers, however, could learn a lot from a customer service class. Telling a customer that"you're killing me" while I'm trying to move out of your way is RUDE in case you didn't know. The words "thank you" and a smile could go a long way. Maybe you don't work for tips here, that could be a mistake. $1.00 tips could get old. Mexico Beach is growing, watch out Killer Seafood, you will get pushed out with that sad service.

Great time at Killer Seafood. The Killer Bowl and hush puppies are awesome. Grilled shrimp are also good. Always enjoy Killer Seafood when in Mexico Beach.

After so many favorable reviews, we were expecting much more from this restaurant. For us, it wasn't killer at all. My wife's fresh grouper dinner was not good. It was over cooked, the cole slaw was awful and the fries were way too salty. She said it tasted like fast food. My shrimp bowl with rice in their simmering sauce was pretty good but not anything really special. There sure was a lot of it in a huge bowl though. For the cost of this dinner, just under $40, it was way over priced. The service was just average. We will not return.

The food was great! The ordering process is a little awkward if it's your first time especially with kids. Will come again. Come early to not have a long wait.

The food was amazing! I got the fish tacos and I look forward to getting them again. However, the people that work there are EXTREMELY rude! It is in a little tiny building and the place fills up fast. Get there early!

Excellent seafood and service! They have great fish tacos and what they call their "Killer" shrimp, mussels, scallops. It is a spicy broth with the seafood in it, then they put rice or pasta and serve with a homemade bread to sop up the juice. Very tasty! It is a hoppin' joint and they have a system of keeping the tables filled then emptied to seat the maximum number of people. Interesting decor, divey, and an interesting cooking, delivery, and service system. Definitely a must eat place in Mexico Beach. Bring cash.
